Hellllloooooo from the land of cookies…….. I can’t believe how long its been since I wrote a post. Please forgive me. I have been blessedly busy with baking, learning, baking some more, growing the business, baking again. I am reminded by a quote by Gabrielle Hamilton (chef/owner of Prune in New York and author of Blood Bones and Butter) – I won’t get the quote right but she said something to the effect that “sometimes my kids get all of me and sometimes they get very little”. She was speaking of her physical children: I am speaking of you – my digital cookie community – as well as me – my needs for myself. I haven’t given much lately to either of us. But I’m ok with that because in the intervening time I have dedicated myself to butter, sugar, flavor…… cookies. I can’t really apologize because I’m not sorry – I love them and that’s really what I’ve been doing. So, what does that mean for you? Well, most recently, today in truth, it means a Salty Butterscotch Oat that I adore, a Lemon Pistachio Shortbread with White Chocolate, and a Lavender Rosemary Shortbread that is perfect for the fall season. As I always say to my husband “don’t forget about me” – I’m right here, just can’t stop obsessing over my cookies. Come visit, taste, enjoy, connect with a cookie.
